BJP Govt in Odisha Marks 2 Years; CM Majhi Calls June 4 ‘Revolutionary Day’
Bhubaneswar, June 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Odisha marked its two‑year anniversary today, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailing June 4 as a “revolutionary and glorious day” in the state’s political history.
The date commemorates the end of the Biju Janata Dal’s 24‑year rule in 2024, when the BJP secured a historic mandate to form its first government in Odisha.
Majhi, who took oath as Chief Minister on June 12, 2024, emphasised that the people’s trust had laid the foundation for a transparent, prosperous, and progressive Odisha.
Highlighting the Centre‑State partnership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Majhi described the BJP administration as a “double‑engine government” driving development across sectors.
He stressed priorities of administrative transparency, accountability, and public welfare, while urging citizens to join in the collective effort to build a “Prosperous Odisha” alongside a “Developed India.”
The Chief Minister’s message reflected optimism and confidence, positioning Odisha as a state on the path to becoming a national leader in growth and governance.
