B.Ed Certificate Scam Exposed in Jharsuguda: Over 300 Aspirants Duped

Bhubaneswar, April 27: A major educational fraud racket has been uncovered in Jharsuguda, where agents allegedly sold fake B.Ed certificates sourced from Andhra institutions to hundreds of teaching aspirants.

Complaints have been lodged at the Jharsuguda Cyber Police Station and Brajarajnagar police limits, with initial investigations confirming that at least seven students cheated.

However, reports suggest that over 300 aspirants across western Odisha may have fallen victim to the scam.

Victims from Laikera, Belpahar, Brajarajnagar, Orient, and Lakhanpur revealed they were promised valid certificates that would secure teaching jobs.

Instead, they received forged documents, leaving their careers and savings in jeopardy.

Police have launched a probe into the network of agents involved, assuring strict action once evidence is consolidated.

The case underscores the growing menace of educational fraud and the vulnerability of job‑seeking youth to exploitation.
