Govt Panel Probes Alleged PG Medical Paper Leak at MKCG
A three-member state government panel has begun investigating allegations of a postgraduate medical exam paper leak at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur.
The committee, comprising Additional Secretary Bijay Kumar Dash, Special Secretary Bijay Kumar Mishra, and Joint Director Dr Anil Kumar Sahu, visited the campus and held discussions with Dean-cum-Principal Dr Hari Krishna Dalai and Superintendent Dr Sudeepa Dash.
The team reviewed CCTV footage and interacted with faculty to trace how the paper was circulated, its source, and the timeline of the incident.
The inquiry follows reports that the second PG medical theory exam paper (2023–26 batch), conducted by Odisha University of Health Sciences (OUHS) on July 27, was allegedly shared on social media shortly after the exam began.
MKCG authorities have also formed a five-member internal committee headed by the Superintendent to conduct a parallel probe.
OUHS has assured full cooperation with both investigations. The government panel has been given two weeks to submit its findings.
