Youth Killed, Two Injured in Koraput Scooter–Bike Collision
Koraput, April 16: A tragic road accident near the cashew factory on Nandapur road in Semiliguda claimed the life of an 18-year-old youth and left two others critically injured on Thursday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Dhanapati Ched Nayak, son of Balu Ched Nayak from Kumhari Put village.
He was declared dead upon arrival at Sunabeda Group Health Centre.
The injured, Bikash Dishari and scooter rider Panchanan Sahu, were later shifted to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital, Koraput for advanced treatment.
According to reports, the collision occurred between a scooter and a bike.
The driver attempted to flee but was apprehended by Semiliguda police, led by ASI Biranchi Banua, who also facilitated immediate medical assistance.
Police have yet to register a case, and further investigation is underway.
