Mumbai Police: Bishnoi Gang Planned Aamir, Emraan Recce Before Targeting Tiger Shroff
Mumbai: Fresh revelations in the investigation into the shooting targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have uncovered an alleged plot by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to target other film stars before finally shifting focus to the actor.
According to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, gang operatives had reportedly conducted reconnaissance of the residences of Aamir Khan and Emraan Hashmi before identifying Tiger Shroff as their eventual target.
Investigators said the accused first surveyed the residence of Aamir Khan but were unaware that the actor had moved from the location. They later attempted to identify the home of Emraan Hashmi but were unsuccessful.
Following these failed attempts, the gang allegedly turned its attention toward Tiger Shroff.
Police claims suggest that the accused closely monitored the actor’s movements through social media platforms and discovered his routine visits to the Pushpa Narsee ground in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where he regularly played football on Sundays.
The investigation took a significant turn after four accused, identified as Radha Verma, Babita Rao, Kunal Jaminsingh, and Sumit Saroliya, were arrested in Haryana’s Sonipat district.
The suspects have been remanded to police custody as authorities continue probing their alleged role in supplying weapons linked to the attack.
According to investigators, a pistol allegedly arranged by Bishnoi gang operative Anil Pandit was delivered to suspected shooter Rehan Ansari in Mumbai’s Dadar area shortly before the attack.
While Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed in the incident, his driver and a blogger sustained bullet injuries.
Mumbai Police have so far arrested 11 individuals in connection with the case and are continuing efforts to unravel the broader conspiracy behind the attack.
The latest findings have intensified concerns over the growing influence of organised crime networks targeting high-profile figures in the entertainment industry.
