Regional AI Impact Summit 2025 in Bhubaneswar Showcases Odisha’s AI Policy and Innovation Drive

Bhubaneswar is set to host the three‑day Regional AI Impact Summit from December 18 to 20, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Odisha’s journey toward becoming a national leader in artificial intelligence adoption.

Organized by the state’s Electronics and IT Department, the summit serves as a precursor to the India AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled in New Delhi.

Health Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling highlighted Odisha’s forward‑looking approach, citing the recently launched Odisha AI Policy 2025 and progressive frameworks for fintech, global capability centres, and advanced electronics. “Our focus is not just on infrastructure but on building a complete innovation ecosystem supported by strong governance, world‑class digital capacity, and long‑term policymaking,” he said.

Principal Secretary Vishal Dev emphasised that the summit is designed to showcase real progress rather than promises, aligning government, industry, academia, and research institutions on a collaborative AI roadmap.

The event will also witness the signing of key MoUs, formalising partnerships that strengthen Odisha’s AI journey.

By spotlighting real‑world AI deployments already underway in governance and priority sectors, the summit positions Odisha as a frontrunner in India’s emerging AI ecosystem.

It is expected to accelerate long‑term initiatives, foster collaboration, and reinforce the state’s ambition to play a leading role in technology‑driven development.
