Rahul Gandhi Demands PM Modi Apology, Seeks Amit Shah & Pradhan’s Resignation Over NEET Crackdown

Rahul Gandhi has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologise to students following the police crackdown on the July 20 “Chalo Sansad” protest against alleged NEET‑UG paper leak irregularities.

He also sought the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing the government of failing to protect students’ interests.

Thousands of students and opposition leaders marched from Jantar Mantar towards Parliament, demanding exam reforms.

The protest turned violent as police used barricades, tear gas, and lathi‑charge to disperse crowds. Reports confirmed over 60 injuries, with one woman admitted to ICU.

Rahul Gandhi criticised repeated exam paper leaks and rising education costs, urging systemic reforms and withdrawal of cases against student protesters.

Opposition MPs staged a sit‑in near the PM’s residence after being denied a parliamentary debate.

Leaders including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Akhilesh Yadav, Supriya Sule, and Pawan Khera joined the protest.

Meanwhile, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan accused Congress of politicising the issue, reiterating the government’s commitment to addressing student concerns.

The CBI has arrested 13 individuals in connection with the alleged NEET‑UG paper leak.
