Puri Police have released detailed traffic and parking guidelines ahead of the Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha, ensuring smooth movement of devotees and vehicles during the sacred festivities.
Key Highlights
- Two-Wheeler Routes & Parking:
- From Bhubaneswar → via Malatipatapur, Batagaon, Mangalaghat Chhak, Gokhasahi → parking at Old Jagannath Ballav Parking (JBPC). Overflow at Matitota playground and helipad.
- From Brahmagiri → via Mangalaghat Chhak, Gokhasahi → parking at Old JBPC, overflow at Matitota.
- From Konark → diverted through Baidas Nagar, Grid Sub-Station, Bhudan Chhak, Helipad Chhak, Penthakata Chhak, CT Road, Subhash Bose Chhak → parking at Blue Flag Beach and Hotel Neelachal Ashok.
- Four-Wheeler Routes & Parking:
- Bhubaneswar side → Talabania.
- Brahmagiri side → Samanga parking.
- Konark side → Sterling zone.
- LMVs → sequential parking at Bhudan Parking, OLA Guest House, Helipad, ITI College, Central School, Indoor Stadium, Horticulture Field, Hygienic Fish Market. Overflow at Shree Setu and Sterling Chhak.
- Return Routes: Vehicles must exit through the same routes they entered, with diversions to ease congestion.
- Police Appeal: Devotees are urged to park only in designated areas and cooperate with on-duty personnel for safe and orderly conduct of the rituals.
