Police Raid in Barang: Over 200 LPG Cylinders Confiscated

Cuttack, April 25: In a late‑night raid, police unearthed an illegal LPG godown at Brahman Jharilo in Barang block, seizing over 200 LPG cylinders, refilling equipment, and two vehicles from a rented house.

Two individuals suspected of involvement in the illicit trade were detained.

Authorities revealed that the premises were being used for unauthorised storage and refilling of LPG cylinders, posing a grave safety hazard to the locality.

The godown has been sealed, and police have launched an investigation to trace the wider network behind the illegal operation.

Officials confirmed that strict legal action will follow based on the probe’s findings.
