Police Nab Trio Over Killing of Fakir Mohan Rana
Kalahandi police have arrested three individuals in connection with the brutal killing of BJP leader Fakir Mohan Rana (47) on August 5, 2026.
The incident, which occurred in Phatamunda village, was reportedly fueled by longstanding enmity.
The accused — Mamataj Sahu alias Tulasiram (41), Sursingh Patra (35), and Baladeb Sahu (28) — were apprehended following intensive investigation, witness statements, and forensic evidence collection.
Authorities recovered the murder weapon, a Bajaj Platina motorcycle, mobile phones, and other incriminating materials.
Police confirmed that the suspects underwent medical examination before being produced in court.
Officials assured that the investigation will continue in a fair and lawful manner to ensure justice.
