Plus II Student Found Dead in Kataka Hostel, Family Cries Foul
A Plus II Science student, Chinmaya Sahoo, was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside a private college hostel in CDA Sector-10, Kataka.
Despite being rushed to a nearby medical facility, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Chinmaya’s father alleged foul play, stating that a teacher named Sangram had called him a day earlier, claiming his son’s health was not good but refusing to connect him directly.
The family further revealed that Chinmaya had previously complained of threats from fellow hostel students.
His father suspects that nearly 25 students may have attacked him.
Following the incident, the family lodged a complaint at CDA Phase-II Model Police Station, demanding a thorough investigation and justice.
The case has sparked serious concerns about student safety in hostels, with calls for strict action against those responsible.
