Odisha Yatri Safety App Debuts With SOS & Live Tracking

On the occasion of Local Self‑Government Day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled the Odisha Yatri Safety App, a state‑owned digital platform designed to enhance commuter safety.

Housing & Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra and brand ambassador Archita Sahu joined the launch event.

The app introduces one‑click SOS alerts, shake‑to‑notify emergency triggers, and live location sharing with trusted contacts.

Citizens can instantly connect to police, ambulance, and fire services, record audio during emergencies, and mark rides as safe once they reach their destination.

CM Majhi emphasised that safe, accessible, and dependable mobility is vital for citizen‑friendly cities, while Minister Mahapatra highlighted Odisha’s commitment to modern, secure urban transport.

Archita Sahu urged citizens to adopt and familiarise themselves with the app.

Integrated into the Odisha Yatri mobility platform, the safety module complements ride booking, Ama Bus services, FASTicket spot booking, and boating facilities.

The government has branded it as “India’s First State‑Owned Safety App. One App.

Every Journey. A Safer Odisha.”

The app is now available for download and update, offering citizens a unified hub for convenience, affordability, and security in travel.
