SJTA Announces Likely Resumption of Jagannath Temple Darshan from 8 AM
Puri: Public darshan at the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is likely to resume on Tuesday morning following the completion of special religious rituals associated with the ongoing Shodasha Puja.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), devotees are expected to be allowed entry for darshan from around 8 AM on Tuesday.
The temporary restriction has been imposed due to the observance of special rituals of Maa Bimala Devi on the occasion of Mahanavami.
Temple authorities stated that the rituals are elaborate in nature and may take considerable time to conclude.
As a result, regular darshan for devotees has remained suspended to facilitate the smooth conduct of the religious ceremonies.
The administration has appealed to devotees to cooperate and maintain patience during the period of restricted access, emphasising the importance of the traditional rituals being performed during the festive period.
The annual Shodasha Puja and associated rituals of Maa Bimala Devi hold immense religious significance and attract the attention of devotees from across Odisha and beyond.
Temple officials have assured that normal darshan arrangements will be restored once the rituals are completed.
