Odisha Govt Launches Monitoring Drive for PM SHRI Schools

The School and Mass Education Department of Odisha has initiated a comprehensive monitoring exercise to strengthen the performance of PM SHRI schools across the state.

A panel of 30 senior officers—including IAS, OAS, OFS, and OES cadres—has been appointed as State Reviewers to oversee academic and infrastructural progress.

Each reviewer has been assigned one district to conduct periodic evaluations, focusing on teaching practices, governance, infrastructure, and overall implementation of the PM SHRI framework.

The monitoring will emphasise 21 quality saturation indicators aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to improve learning outcomes and ensure holistic development.

Reviewers will conduct field visits, document achievements, identify gaps, and submit detailed reports through the PM SHRI portal.

To streamline coordination, OSEPA will create reviewer profiles on the portal and appoint a dedicated nodal officer for effective communication.

This initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing school education standards and aligning them with national benchmarks.
