Odisha CM Mohan Majhi Congratulates Para Shuttler Pramod Bhagat on Historic Double Gold at BWF Para World Championships

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has extended heartfelt congratulations to para badminton star Pramod Bhagat for his remarkable achievements at the BWF Para World Championships in Bahrain.

Bhagat clinched his sixth world title in men’s singles (SL3 category) after defeating Indonesia’s Muhammad Al Imran in the final.

He also partnered with Sukant Kadam to secure the men’s doubles SL3-SL4 crown, overcoming fellow Indians J. Dilli and N. Sivakumar.

This victory makes Bhagat the most decorated singles champion in world championship history, surpassing China’s Lin Dan, who won five able-bodied singles world titles.

Bhagat, who contracted polio at the age of five, has consistently dominated the SL3 division for standing players with lower limb impairments.

CM Majhi praised Bhagat for bringing glory to both Odisha and India, calling his achievements a source of pride and inspiration for aspiring athletes.
