Odisha Mining Corporation Breaks Records with 44.82 MT Output

The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has set a new benchmark in India’s mining sector by recording its highest-ever mineral production in FY 2025–26.

The state-owned enterprise produced 44.82 million tonnes of minerals, including 40.02 million tonnes of iron ore, marking a 12.06% year-on-year growth.

Chrome ore output stood at 1.69 million tonnes, while bauxite production reached 2.83 million tonnes.

OMC also achieved record sales of 42.524 million tonnes, generating provisional revenue of Rs 25,300 crore.

Beyond production, the corporation emphasised sustainable mining practices, deploying dust suppression systems, afforestation drives, water conservation measures, and IT-enabled safety technologies.

The company’s CSR initiatives continued to uplift communities in mining regions, focusing on healthcare, education, sanitation, drinking water, skill development, and rural infrastructure.

Senior leadership credited the collective efforts of employees across mines and regions for this milestone, reinforcing OMC’s role in strengthening Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and contributing to national economic growth.
