Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Celebrates Khadi Chhuan Divas with Children

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi marked Khadi Chhuan Divas with a symbolic gesture of holding children’s hands and guiding them into classrooms at Raj Bhavan Upper Primary School.

He also wrote on the blackboard with chalk, symbolising the start of their educational journey.

The CM announced that all Anganwadi centres will be gradually merged with Shishu Vatika schools, ensuring early childhood education begins under one roof.

He emphasised that every village will soon have a model school to strengthen foundational learning.

In a major infrastructure push, the government will establish the Godabarish Mishra Primary School on five acres of land at a cost of Rs 6 crore.

Majhi interacted warmly with children, encouraging them to embrace education as the cornerstone of their future.

This initiative reflects Odisha’s broader commitment to streamlined early education and equitable access across rural and urban communities.
