Odisha CM Distributes Rs 325 Cr to 4.57 Lakh Women Under Subhadra Yojana
Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday disbursed financial assistance of Rs 325 crore under the Subhadra Yojana, benefitting more than 4.57 lakh women across the state.
The funds were transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Among the recipients, 1,78,398 newly enrolled women received their first instalment, while 2,55,265 women who had missed earlier instalments were credited with pending assistance.
The announcement was made during a state-level programme at the OUAT campus in Bhubaneswar, where the Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to empowering women through financial inclusion.
Officials emphasised that the scheme’s rollout was carefully monitored to ensure only genuine beneficiaries received aid, reinforcing the government’s focus on transparency and welfare delivery.
