Murmu & Modi Launch Mega Projects in Odisha
Bhubaneswar/Mayurbhanj: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will jointly inaugurate a series of major infrastructure projects during their Odisha visit, marking the second anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
The leaders will dedicate a 300‑bed District Headquarters Hospital in Boudh, enhancing healthcare access in western Odisha.
In the transport sector, 24 Atal Bus Stands and nine Automated Testing Stations will be launched to improve commuter facilities and vehicle safety.
Connectivity projects include the Nayagarh Town Bypass on NH‑57 and the Kusumi Smart Irrigation underground pipeline, aimed at easing traffic and boosting agricultural productivity.
Railways will see capacity expansion through multi‑tracking projects on the Jakhapura–Jajpur Keonjhar Road–Baitarani Road and Hindol Road–Meramandali routes.
Additionally, a Sports Complex and Tribal Research Centre will be inaugurated at Rairangpur, promoting athletics and preserving tribal heritage.
These initiatives reflect the government’s focus on healthcare, transport, irrigation, and railway modernisation, while also strengthening tribal and youth development.
