MKCG PG Exam Leak Sparks Probe in Odisha
Berhampur: Allegations of malpractice have rocked MKCG Medical College and Hospital after claims surfaced that postgraduate (PG) exam papers were leaked and circulated via WhatsApp ahead of the July 27 test.
Photographs of the question paper and even written answers were allegedly shared among students, raising serious concerns about fairness.
Sources suggest that a medical student and a senior staff member may have been involved, with reports indicating the papers were sold for large sums and even reached a private medical college in Bhubaneswar.
The exam covered more than 20 subjects, amplifying the scope of the alleged irregularities.
Following complaints, the Odisha University of Health Sciences dispatched a team to MKCG for a preliminary inquiry.
Dean Dr Harikrushna Dalai confirmed that an internal probe is underway to determine how the paper was photographed and circulated.
Two more PG exams are scheduled in the coming days.
Officials have assured stricter monitoring to prevent further malpractice and restore confidence in the examination process.
