Lakhs Witness Maa Tarini’s Suna Besha on Pana Sankranti
Ghatagaon, April 14: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Vishuba Sankranti (Pana Sankranti), coinciding with the sixth day of the Chaiti festival, the revered Maa Tarini Temple at Ghatagaon witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees.
The goddess appeared in her Suna Besha (golden attire), a rare and spiritually significant darshan that drew lakhs of devotees from across Odisha and beyond.
The temple premises were adorned with lights and flowers, while rituals such as pala, bhajans, Chandipath, mangal alati, incense offerings, khichdi bhog, and chakuli bhog continued throughout the day.
Charitable organisations facilitated prasad distribution for seven days, ensuring all devotees received blessings.
To manage the massive crowd, authorities implemented extensive barricading, CCTV surveillance, drone monitoring, and police deployment, supported by volunteers like the Satya Sai Seva Sangathan.
Security was further heightened with the scheduled visit of the Chief Minister to the temple, underscoring the cultural and spiritual significance of the event.
