Koraput Police Arrest Man With Ganja and Hashish Oil Worth ₹14 Lakh
Koraput police have arrested a 27‑year‑old man, Gopabandhu Khillo, from Laxmipur village under the Boipariguda area for possession of narcotics.
Acting on credible intelligence, the police seized 6.2 kg of ganja and 1.2 kg of liquid ganja/hashish oil from the accused, along with cash.
The seized hashish oil alone is estimated to be worth around Rs 14 lakh in the illegal market.
The arrest was made under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Following the seizure, Khillo was produced before the court.
Authorities emphasised that the crackdown reflects their commitment to curbing drug trafficking in the district, which has seen a rise in narcotics smuggling activities in recent years.
