Keonjhar PEO in Vigilance Net Over Disproportionate Assets Allegations

Keonjhar: Odisha Vigilance officers on December 30, 2025, carried out simultaneous searches at six locations linked to Sri Jitendra Kumar Jena, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Bancho GP under Hatadihi Block, Keonjhar district.

The operation was led by four DSPs and eight Inspectors, acting on warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar.

The searches were prompted by allegations of disproportionate assets and suspected financial irregularities.

Properties under scrutiny included Jena’s triple-storied residence at Biranchipur, Mareigaon, a newly built double-storeyed market complex at Jagannathpur mouza in Basantia Bazar, two rented godowns of Maa Saraswati Sales, his electronics shop “Saraswati Sales” at Bidyadharpur, his paternal house at Padhiaripalli village, and his office at Bancho GP.

Officials are documenting findings from each property, with further updates expected as the investigation progresses.
