Eastern Range Police Smash Cattle Mafia Network in Odisha

In a sweeping operation across Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak districts, Eastern Range police dismantled a major cattle smuggling network.

Raids at 35 locations uncovered a well-organised system of theft and trafficking, leading to the seizure of cash, gold, silver ornaments, vehicles, firearms, and sharp weapons.

Officials confirmed that the mafia operated with a structured network spanning district borders, often resorting to violence to protect its trade.

The recovery of arms highlighted the dangerous nature of the racket. DIG Eastern Range stated that investigations are ongoing, with authorities determined to dismantle every link of the syndicate.

This marks one of the largest coordinated actions against cattle theft in Odisha, signalling a strong message against organised crime in the region.
