Custodial Death Sparks Protests in Dabugaon, 3 Cops Suspended

Nabarangpur, April 30: Tension gripped Dabugaon police station in Nabarangpur district after the custodial death of accused Purna Kalar sparked outrage among locals.

The incident, which raised serious concerns about custodial safety, led to immediate disciplinary action against three police personnel.

Superintendent of Police Madkar Sandeep Sampat confirmed the suspension of Sub‑Inspector Bikram Sahu and constables Karna Pujari and Buduram Majhi late Tuesday night.
