CM Majhi Urges Citizens to Draw Inspiration from Vande Mataram for Nation-Building by 2047

Bhubaneswar, December 9, 2025 — Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has called upon citizens to embrace the spirit of India’s national song Vande Mataram as a guiding force for nation-building.

In a post on his official X handle, Majhi emphasised that Vande Mataram is not only a symbol of India’s freedom struggle but also a source of collective strength and unity.

He urged people to channel the courage and resolve embodied in the song to work towards establishing India as a fully developed nation by 2047.

The Chief Minister’s remarks came in the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha during a special discussion marking the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.

The Prime Minister highlighted the song’s role in energising the freedom movement and reaffirmed its relevance in contemporary India.

Majhi described the anniversary as a “golden opportunity” for citizens to recommit themselves to the ideals of unity, courage, and patriotism. He encouraged contributions across all fields of nation-building to realise the dream of a developed India.
