Addressing the public, Majhi urged citizens not to panic and to follow instructions issued by the administration.
The Chief Minister confirmed that he is personally monitoring the situation in coordination with the Chief Secretary and Special Relief Commissioner.
Rescue and relief operations have been intensified in Baleshwar, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts, with three senior IAS officers deployed to oversee flood management.
Emergency control rooms will remain operational round‑the‑clock, while NDRF, ODRAF, Fire Services, and police teams are on standby to evacuate residents from vulnerable areas.
Relief camps have been stocked with drinking water, cooked food, medicines, and cattle feed. Police have also stepped up night patrolling to safeguard evacuated homes.
Majhi directed officials to ensure immediate compensation for damaged houses and farmland, emphasising that no delay will be tolerated in providing relief to affected families.
