CM Majhi Plants Ashoka Sapling to Celebrate PM Modi’s 76th Birthday in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday by planting an Ashoka sapling at Lok Seva Bhavan.
The symbolic gesture was part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a statewide initiative featuring tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, Seva Jyoti Yatra, Namo Seva Gatha, and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Ahead of the occasion, Majhi appealed to families across Odisha to light an “Ashirwad Ka Diya” at homes, temples, or public places, symbolising prayers for Modi’s long and healthy life.
He encouraged citizens to share photos and videos on social media, amplifying the collective spirit of gratitude.
Beneficiaries of government welfare schemes were also urged to participate, turning the birthday into a celebration of service and community engagement.
Extending his wishes, Majhi praised Modi’s leadership and commitment to public service, calling the day a moment of reflection and resolve for a developed India.
