Centre Clears Jagmohan Meena’s Resignation as Bhubaneswar DCP

The Union Home Ministry has formally accepted the resignation of Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena, a 2013-batch IPS officer.

Meena had tendered his resignation citing personal reasons, which was first reviewed by the Odisha Home Department before being forwarded to the Centre for approval.

With this acceptance, Meena’s exit from the Indian Police Service is complete, marking the end of over a decade of service in Odisha.

During his career, Meena served as Superintendent of Police in Cuttack, Ganjam, and Malkangiri, where he handled law-and-order challenges, crime control, and anti-Maoist operations.

As Bhubaneswar DCP, he was instrumental in strengthening cybercrime investigations and tackling drug trafficking cases.
