Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena Steps Down, Cites Personal Reasons
Bhubaneswar: In a sudden development, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena has tendered his resignation, citing personal reasons.
Odisha DGP Y.B. Khurania confirmed the move, stating that the 2013‑batch IPS officer’s decision was not linked to official matters.
Meena, who previously served as DCP of Cuttack and as Superintendent of Police in Angul and Ganjam, submitted his resignation letter to the state government.
An official notification regarding its acceptance and the appointment of a new DCP is awaited.
His departure has sparked discussions in administrative circles, though sources suggest he may join a private company after leaving the police service.
