Bhadrak Robbery Foiled: Villagers Nab One Suspect After Gunpoint Heist
Bhadrak district witnessed high drama on Sunday night when four armed robbers stormed the residence of Niranjan Satapathy in Jujagadia village under Jagadalpur Panchayat.
The gang entered around 9 PM, threatening the family at gunpoint, locking them inside, and looting gold, silver, and cash worth lakhs.
As panic spread, villagers quickly mobilised and surrounded the robbers.
While three managed to escape, one suspect was caught along with a motorcycle abandoned at the scene.
Police arrived shortly after, arresting the captured suspect and seizing the bike.
The daring robbery has sparked concern across the area, but the swift response of locals prevented all four culprits from fleeing.
Authorities have launched a manhunt to track down the remaining suspects.
