Barbil Police Crack Major Theft Case: Two Arrested, Gold and Silver Recovered
Barbil — In a swift and decisive operation, Barbil Police have solved a sensational theft case, arresting two accused and recovering stolen property, including gold and silver ornaments along with cash.
According to reports, on June 11, OMC Chowk resident Balaram Sa lodged a complaint stating that gold and silver ornaments and cash had been stolen from his residence.

Acting promptly, police launched an investigation and identified the involvement of Mohammad Rustam.
During interrogation, Rustam confessed to the crime and revealed that he had sold the stolen silver articles to jeweller Samsuddin Mallick.
On June 13, both accused were arrested after completing all legal formalities and produced before the court.
From Rustam, police seized Rs.40,000/- in cash, burglary tools, and a motorcycle.
From Mallick, police recovered 3.50 grams of gold ornaments and 2.237 kilograms of silver articles.
Police officials confirmed that a substantial portion of the stolen property has been recovered.
Further investigation is underway to determine the accused persons’ involvement in other similar offences and to trace additional links in the disposal of stolen property.
