Armed Robbery Near Kuliana Market in Mayurbhanj
Mayurbhanj district witnessed a daring armed robbery late Friday night near Kuliana market.
Four masked youths on two motorcycles intercepted a jewellery shop owner while he was returning home after closing his shop.
The assailants fired two rounds to intimidate him before snatching a bag containing approximately 5 kilograms of silver, 50 grams of gold, and Rs 50,000 in cash. After the loot, the robbers fled towards Jharpokharia.
Local police, including Kuliana PS, Baripada SDPO, civil squad, and a scientific team, rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
Authorities are scanning CCTV footage and intensifying patrols to trace the culprits.
The incident has sparked concern among traders and residents, highlighting the need for stronger security measures in the region.
