Vigilance Raids Kendrapada Forest Ranger Over DA Allegations

Kendrapada: Odisha Vigilance has launched a major investigation against Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Forest Ranger of Kendrapada Forest Range under Cuttack Division, for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Acting on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, simultaneous searches were conducted at multiple locations including Nayak’s four‑storey residential building in Munduli (Cuttack district), his ancestral house at Sahadapada (Banki police station), his office chamber at Kendrapada Forest Range, and his temporary residence in Kendrapada.

A large team comprising five DSPs, nine Inspectors, five ASIs, and supporting staff carried out the coordinated raids.

The operation began Tuesday and is still underway.

Officials confirmed that details of assets detected and recovered will be shared after completion of the investigation.

This case forms part of Odisha Vigilance’s intensified crackdown on corruption and disproportionate assets among government officials.
