Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 Introduced in Lok Sabha

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, aiming to provide stability in taxation and encourage investment in India’s manufacturing sector.

The Bill seeks to convert the Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 into law and introduces amendments to the Income Tax Act 2025, Finance Act 2026, and the Payment & Settlement Systems Act 2007.
