Summer Badminton Coaching Camp Concludes Successfully at Barbil Indoor Stadium

Barbil, Kendujhar: The 15‑day Summer Badminton Coaching Camp at Barbil Multipurpose Indoor Stadium concluded with resounding success, inspiring young talents to embrace sportsmanship and discipline.

Organised by the Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha, the program aimed to nurture sporting spirit among children and youth.

A total of 20 participants, aged between 8 and 16 years, completed the training and were awarded certificates during the closing ceremony.

The initiative was part of a district‑wide effort, simultaneously conducted across six indoor stadiums—Kendujhar, Anandpur, Shankarpur, Champua, Joda, and Barbil. Registration facilities were made available both online and offline, ensuring wider accessibility.

Rising Young Talents
Participants at Barbil MPIS included Aryansh Prasad, Praveer Tiwari, Sourup Das, Krishna Gupta, Devanshi Jha, Aaishani Mishra, Tanvi Agrawal, Srivalli Mishra, Swagat Sutar, Janajaya Samal, Raghav Sharma, Vaishnavi Sharma, Jaljash Toppo, Siddhidhi Mahato, Riddhi Mahato, Samriddhi Parida, Swikriti Parida, and Prabhujit Das.

Each successfully completed the intensive training sessions, showcasing enthusiasm and commitment.

Ceremony Highlights
Certificates were presented by veteran MPIS players Debaranjan Nayak, Bikash Das, and Rasanand Behera, who encouraged the youngsters to pursue excellence in sports.

Senior players extended heartfelt wishes for the participants’ bright future, while expressing gratitude to MPIS in‑charge and gymnasium instructor Bichitranand Puhan and badminton coach Avatar Singh for their dedicated guidance.

The camp not only strengthened the foundation of budding players but also reinforced the government’s vision of promoting grassroots sports culture across Kendujhar district.
