Sudarsan Pattnaik’s Sand Art at Puri Marks Akshaya Tritiya 2026
Puri, April 20: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik illuminated Puri Beach with a striking sculpture celebrating Akshaya Tritiya 2026.
The artwork, depicting the Jagannath Trinity in vibrant attire with floral embellishments, drew large crowds of devotees, tourists, and art enthusiasts.
The installation carried deep spiritual symbolism, with three wooden logs placed in front to represent the ceremonial start of Rath Yatra preparations.
Inscriptions of “Jai Jagannatha” and Odia greetings further enriched the devotional atmosphere.
Pattnaik shared his creation on social media, extending festival greetings and highlighting Odisha’s blend of faith, culture, and artistic excellence.
The sand art also tied into wider observances of Akshaya Tritiya, including Akhi Muthi Anukula and the commencement of Chandan Yatra, underscoring the festival’s agrarian and spiritual significance.
