Bhubaneswar, April 2026: Shaktikanta Das, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, visited the World Skill Centre (WSC) in Bhubaneswar to review its advanced training infrastructure.
Accompanied by Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg and Skill Development Commissioner Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Das toured Centres of Excellence in Vertical Transportation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Beauty & Wellness, and Hospitality.
He praised WSC’s modern facilities, industry‑aligned curriculum, and innovative training methodologies designed to prepare Odisha’s youth for global opportunities.
Discussions with WSC leadership emphasised enhancing workforce readiness, strengthening government–industry partnerships, and aligning skill development with international standards.
The visit underscored Odisha’s growing role as a hub for advanced skill training, empowering young professionals with cutting‑edge expertise and contributing to India’s vision of inclusive growth and global competitiveness.
