Revenue Minister Confirms ₹110 Cr Relief Across Odisha
The Odisha government has sanctioned Rs 110 crore in relief assistance for 22 districts affected by recent floods.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari announced that Baleshwar, Bhadrak, and Jajpur are among the worst-hit districts, receiving allocations of Rs 22.03 crore, Rs 20.12 crore, and Rs 20.20 crore, respectively.
Other districts including Jagatsinghpur, Kendujhar, Sambalpur, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Khordha, and Boudh have also been allocated funds ranging from Rs 1.29 crore to Rs 8.18 crore.
The minister stated that a consolidated damage report will be available by Friday evening after a high-level review meeting.
Odisha has recorded 65% above-normal rainfall this year, leading to widespread flooding and embankment breaches.
District administrations have been directed to submit detailed reports on embankment repairs and river bund works to expedite recovery efforts.
