Puri: Four Detained After House Set Ablaze Over Past Enmity
A violent clash erupted late Thursday night in Kuanraswara village under Pipili block of Puri district, when one family allegedly set fire to the bamboo‑and‑plastic house of a rival family.
The house, built on government land near a temple, had long been a source of dispute between the two families.
According to reports, the attack followed a quarrel earlier in the day, rooted in longstanding enmity.
Fortunately, the affected family managed to escape unharmed. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and contained the blaze before it spread further.
Police have detained four individuals for questioning after a complaint was lodged.
Authorities are investigating the background of the feud to determine the motive behind the arson.
