OSSSC and OTET Exam Clash on June 28 Sparks Aspirant Outcry in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, June 22: Odisha’s aspirants are facing a major setback as two crucial examinations — the OSSSC recruitment tests and the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) — have been scheduled on the same day, June 28.
The OSSSC exams, covering posts such as RI, ARI, ICDS Supervisor, Amin, and SFS, were initially planned for June 20 but postponed due to NEET on June 21.
Meanwhile, OTET, originally slated for June 21, was rescheduled to June 28.
This overlap has sparked widespread frustration among candidates.
OTET Paper‑I is scheduled from 9:00–11:30 AM, while Paper‑II will be held between 2:00–4:30 PM.
The OSSSC exams are also set for the same day, making it impossible for aspirants to appear for both.
Candidates have expressed anger over repeated postponements in the past two years, warning that such scheduling conflicts could cost them valuable opportunities.
They are urging authorities to intervene and reschedule one of the exams.
So far, neither OSSSC nor the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, has issued an official statement.
Aspirants remain hopeful that corrective action will be taken to resolve the clash.
