Odisha Vigilance Recovers ₹7.15 Lakh from Kendrapara AEE

Odisha Vigilance officials have intensified their crackdown on corruption, recovering an additional ₹4 lakh from the residence of Kendrapara Drainage Division Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Anupama Sahoo.

This brings the total cash haul to ₹7.15 lakh.

Sahoo was intercepted at Marshaghai Crossing on NH‑53‑A while travelling in her official vehicle, where ₹3.15 lakh was initially seized.

The action followed credible information about alleged bribe collections from contractors for clearing pending bills.

Subsequent searches at her residence and linked premises led to the additional recovery.

Vigilance officials are now scrutinising her financial records, assets, and documents to trace the source of the cash.

A detailed report is expected as the investigation progresses.
