Govinda Offers Prayers at Puri Srimandir on Vijaya Dashami
Puri: Renowned Bollywood actor Govinda visited the sacred Puri Srimandir on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath.
The actor sought blessings amid the festive celebrations, drawing the attention of devotees and visitors at the temple.
During his visit, Govinda had darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra during the Suna Besha rituals.
He also paid obeisance at the shrines of Maa Lakshmi, Maa Bimala and other deities within the temple complex.
Speaking to the media after the darshan, the actor expressed his happiness at being able to visit the revered shrine on Vijaya Dashami.
He said he felt blessed to seek the Lord’s blessings and prayed for the health, prosperity and well-being of all people.
According to reports, Govinda had arrived in Bhubaneswar for a scheduled programme and took the opportunity to undertake a pilgrimage to Puri along with members of his entourage.
The actor’s visit created excitement among devotees and fans present at the temple. Many gathered to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood star as he participated in the spiritual observances of the festival.
His visit added a touch of celebrity presence to the religious significance of Vijaya Dashami celebrations at the centuries-old shrine.
