Odisha Tourism Development Projects Reviewed: Focus on Dhauli, Temples & Rath Yatra
Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Pravati Parida chaired a high‑level review meeting at Paryatan Bhawan to assess ongoing tourism infrastructure projects, destination development, and investment opportunities across Odisha.
The meeting emphasised the Dhauli Master Plan, which aims to enhance visitor experience through eco‑friendly measures, including the introduction of electric vehicles for commuting.
Integrated development and beautification of heritage sites such as Kapileswar and Sukhmeswar temples and Dasia Bauri Pitha were prioritised, particularly along the Bhubaneswar–Puri corridor.
Officials also discussed promotional strategies ahead of the Rath Yatra, anticipating a surge in tourist inflow.
Key initiatives reviewed included homestays, adventure tourism, sanitation, and safety measures to position Odisha as a clean, safe, and culturally enriched destination.
The Tourism Department highlighted efforts to attract private investment, create a tourism land bank, and ensure timely disbursal of subsidies and approvals for hospitality projects.
Senior officials, MLAs, and departmental heads participated in the deliberations, underscoring the state’s commitment to sustainable tourism and heritage preservation.
