Odisha STA Cracks Down: 10,207 E‑Challans in a Day
In a sweeping enforcement drive on September 7, the Odisha State Transport Authority (STA) issued 10,207 e‑challans in a single day, marking one of the largest traffic crackdowns in recent times.
The operation also led to the seizure of 20 vehicles across the state.
The violations recorded included 4,603 cases of riding without helmets, 813 instances of overspeeding, 475 cases of driving without valid insurance, and 229 cases of triple riding.
Officials emphasised that the campaign was part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and reduce accidents caused by negligence.
The STA urged citizens to strictly follow traffic rules to ensure safe travel and protect lives.
