Odisha Police Transfers Two Inspectors on Administrative Grounds
The Odisha Police has issued an administrative order transferring two Inspectors from the Police Commissionerate to district postings.
Inspector Bhagyashree Swain has been moved to Kendrapada, while Inspector Sashikanta Rout has been posted to Baragada.
The order, released under Office Order No. 2509/Pers-I dated 07.07.2026 by the DIG of Police (Personnel), Odisha, Kataka, cites administrative grounds, vacancies, and public service needs as the basis for the reshuffle.
Both officers are directed to be relieved immediately from their current postings, with instructions forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ), Bhubaneswar-Kataka, and the respective Superintendents of Police in Kendrapada and Baragada.
The transfers are pending approval of the Police Establishment Board (PEB).
This move is seen as part of routine administrative measures to optimise police deployment across districts.
