Odisha Migrant Worker Dies in Train Mishap Near Chennai

A tragic incident occurred near Cuddalore Port Junction in Tamil Nadu when a 30‑year‑old migrant worker from Ganjam district, Odisha, fell from a moving train and died on the spot.

The deceased, identified as Tuna Behera, was travelling with friends to Chennai in search of employment.

According to reports, Tuna lost his balance while the train was in motion near Patambakkam and sustained fatal injuries.

Government Railway Police recovered the body and sent it for post‑mortem examination.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

Locals described Tuna as hardworking and the sole breadwinner of his family.

His sudden death has left his family and village in deep shock, with his dependents now facing severe hardship. Authorities will hand over the body to his family after completion of formalities.
