Odisha Govt Expedites Flood Compensation Ahead of Dussehra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Suresh Pujari, chaired a high-level review meeting with district Collectors to accelerate compensation disbursement for flood victims across 28 districts.

The state has already released ₹241.37 crore in relief funds, with allocations to Kendrapada, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Jharsuguda.

The Minister emphasised completing disbursement before Dussehra and praised district administrations for their crisis management.

He also announced consultations with Collectors, experts, and institutions to strengthen disaster-resilient infrastructure in Odisha.

Senior officials including Special Relief Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil, RDC Sangram Keshari Mahapatra, and Additional SRC Padmanabha Behera attended the meeting, while Collectors joined via video conference.
