Odisha Governor & CM Rally Youth for Nisha-Mukta Bharat | Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi have called upon the youth to spearhead the Nisha-Mukta Bharat (Drug-Free India) mission, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide campaign.

Speaking at the launch, the Governor emphasised that India’s future rests on the discipline and values of its young generation.

He warned that addiction destroys potential, weakens families, and undermines society, urging youth to embrace sports, yoga, innovation, and voluntary service instead.

Administering the Nisha Mukta Yuba – Bikashita Bharat Sankalpa Abhiyan pledge, Dr Kambhampati encouraged students to become ambassadors of a drug-free India.

Chief Minister Majhi reinforced the state’s zero-tolerance policy against illegal drug trade, describing youth as the “chief Vishwakarma” of Developed India 2047.

He promoted the slogan “Nisha ku Na, Jiban o Pragati ku Haan” (No to drugs, Yes to life and progress).

Minister Suryabanshi Suraj also urged youth participation, while institutions, NGOs, industries, and media were called upon to support the campaign.
