Odisha CM Majhi Distributes 1,326 Jobs at 16th Nijukti Mela

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10: The 16th Nijukti Mela 2026 at Rail Auditorium marked another milestone in Odisha’s employment drive as Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi distributed 1,326 appointment letters across nine government departments.

Addressing the recruits, Majhi emphasised integrity, citizen‑centric service, and the need to avoid corruption, stating that true success in government service lies in bringing positive change to people’s lives.

Since June 2024, Odisha has created 45,408 government jobs, reversing migration trends and drawing youth back with industrial opportunities.

Majhi highlighted Odisha’s role as a growth engine for Viksit Bharat 2047, with industrial investments worth Rs 21 lakh crore projected to generate 20 lakh jobs.

Recent roadshows in Delhi and Noida secured 38 MoUs worth Rs 66,392 crore, expected to create over 54,000 jobs.

Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and ministers Rabi Narayan Naik, Dr Mukesh Mahaling, and Gokulananda Mallik also addressed the event, urging recruits to uphold honesty and dedication.

Departments involved included Housing & Urban Development, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Agriculture, Health, Fisheries & Animal Resources, Sports, Skill Development, and Excise.

Majhi concluded by affirming that Odisha’s industrial momentum and employment initiatives will continue to transform the state’s economic landscape.
